Located at 3025 NC-24 in Newport, NC is a great sanctuary where women can reclaim control of their health. Under one roof women can see a provider at Elite Rehab and Performance who offers physical therapy and personal training, a provider at Wellness for Women for women’s wellness exams, weight management and nutrition information, as well as menopause treatment. Also housed under the same roof is a provider at Reel Therapy for those in high-stress environments. Katey’s Kits is housed there as well. Katey’s Kits collects, purchases and distributes feminine hygiene products to young women in Carteret and surrounding counties experiencing period poverty. Philanthropy Spotlight: Broad Street Clinic
The Broad Street Clinic was founded in 1993 by county physicians and other concerned citizens as a private non-profit, free health clinic serving the adult residents of Carteret County and surrounding areas. Its mission is to provide access to medical care for the uninsured low-income population in our community. The Clinic was originally based in Beaufort, hence the name. Now located on North 35th Street in Morehead City, near Carteret General Hospital, the Clinic is open Monday through Thursday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are patient days when volunteer Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurses work up and see patients.
The Broad Street Clinic is pleased to invite the public to its Moonlight & Music on October 12, 2024 from 6-9PM at The Dunes Club in Atlantic Beach. There will be entertainment by Alex Williams and magic by Bryan Sanders as well as a silent auction, wine cork pull, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Sponsorships are available.
