Brand creator Kilty Walker is no stranger to the retail world, and neither is her business partner and mother, Beth. Kilty began her retail journey at just 10 years old, working her way from retail sales to wholesale apparel sales before becoming a jewelry designer and wholesale distributor. Beth brings years of experience as a buyer for Dwayne’s in Smithfield, North Carolina.

Together, Kilty and Beth have created stylish, affordable jewelry collections featuring necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Their 242 and Bern brands have become wardrobe staples for women who love versatile, everyday accessories.

Their newest creation holds special significance for our coastal community. Designed by Iva Fearing and brought to life by Kilty and Beth, the beaded Blue Marlin necklace was inspired by our town’s renowned fishing tournament, held annually during the second week of June. This unique piece celebrates both our coastal heritage and one of the most exciting events of the year.
